#3 of "Love is...The Most Excellent Way"
Music truly goes in circles…I remember back in the 90’s when a lot of artist were trying to recapture the sound of 70’s. Today I am seeing influences from the early to mid 80’s. I wanted to make a mix of current releases that sounded like a true 80’s throw back. With the exception of “Medicine” as I really wanted to play it, I think its spot on.

I wanted to do an up-tempo mix full of tracks. A lot of people today call this Deep House but Chicago folk from my day call them tracks. No singing just bumpin tracks (except 2 Bullets). I don’t do this often but just felt inspired. I know speed doesn’t always equal energy…but this is energy! Friends, the landscape for how we play music has changed so much. Now more than ever we need to support the artist we listen to by buying their music! These artists work hard making the music so many of us love and don’t get supported by our dollars! House music is not just for djs...

Mix from the vault...One of the first demo's I handed out when I lived in Las Vegas. Recorded on my Akai Reel to Reel...I need to transfer it to my latest CD burner to capture the sound. This was recorded directly into an older computer program I use to use. Any way its clean enough for a podcast. This was a mixture of classics and what was new at that moment! This is a true hot mix in that there is a ton of tracks. I will have it up for short period of time. Get it while you can.
